GOD (ELOHIM), JEALOUS?
"For YHWH your ELOHIM is a consuming fire, a JEALOUS ELOHIM" Deuteronomy 4:24
Some people believe and are taught that it is wrong and hypocrisy for the CREATOR to become ANGRY or even JEALOUS, but ask yourself this question if the CREATOR of heaven earth created you and gave you a chance at life why does he have to tolerate one of His creations worshipping or bowing down to a god other than Himself? Would you tolerate your children disobeying your commands?
Elohim does become jealous as stated in Torah (Old Testament books of the law of Moses). His "jealousy" is always in the context with idol worship.
Exodus 20:4 and 5”Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thy self-unto them: for I YHWH am a JEALOUS ELOHIM visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me."
"For thou shalt worship no other god: for YHWH, whose name is JEALOUS, is a JEALOUS Elohim." Exodus 34:14
PERSONALITY OF HIS CHARACTER
Contray to what some may think, the CREATOR is an infinite being, the Torah is the only writings that reveal aspects of his personality and attributes of his character. The Creators thoughts are higher than our thoughts
(Isaiah 55: 8-9 " For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saitH YHWH. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.")
And he does not change
(Malachi 3:6 "For I am YHWH, I change not; therefore ye sons of JACOB are not consumed.")
Nor does he lie or change his mind as people do
(1 Samuel 15:29 "And also the STRENGTH of Israel will not lie nor repent: for HE is not a man that he should repent."
And
(Isaiah 45:23 "I have sworn by myself the word has gone out my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, that unto me every knee shall bow and every tongue shall swear.")
The Israelites existed in a world and among people who believed in the worship of many gods. Their greatest threat came from Canaanite fertility religions. The Creator is not just another GOD. He was (is) THE only true Creator. The Israelites recognized Him as the only Sovereign Creator. He did not like to be added to the other deities.
"I am the YHWH, and there is NONE ELSE, there is NO God (Elohim) BESIDE ME: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is NONE BESIDE ME. I am YHWH, and there is NONE ELSE." Isaiah 45:5 & 6
“I, even I, am YHWH; and BESIDE ME THERE IS NO SAVIOUR." Isaiah 43:11
"Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? Ye are even my witnesses. Is there a Creator BESIDE ME? Yea, THERE IS NO god beside me; I KNOW NOT ANY." Isaiah 44:8
Throughout these verses we can see that the CREATOR has no one beside him, he knows no other GOD, there is no savior but him, and he is the only true Creator.
" And ELOHIM said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the Children of Yisrael, I AM hath sent me unto you".
