The Feast of Blowing the Trumpets/ Yom Teruach, Teruah literally means to make a loud noise. This word can describe the noise made by a trumpet but it also describes the noise made by a large gathering of people.  This is a day appointed by The Creator in the seventh month (1Kings 8:2) on the first day of the month occurring in the fall Leviticus 23:24 and 25.  This month stands out as a month that brings in the last three annual feasts, namely, Trumpets, Atonement and Tabernacles. These feasts became known as "The High Holy Days," The number seven represents completion and termination, this gives us the understanding that these three feasts of the seventh month, completed the yearly cycle of sacrifices and harvest.  This day is a memorial which marks the beginning of "Ten Days of Repentance," these are the ten days of preparation for the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur), which falls on the tenth day of the seventh month.

Begins at Sunset: Ethanim 1st

Ends at Sunset: Ethanim 2nd

The Israelites were commanded to keep it as a Sabbath day/ day of rest.  No occupational work or cooking shall be done on this day and you were to have a holy convocation (a large assembling of people) Numbers 29:1.

The Israelites were required to bring before The Creator

a burnt offering, meat offering and a sin offering on the "High Holy Day" Numbers 29:2-6

In the Hebrew culture trumpets play a significant role.  The Creator commanded that Israel use two types of trumpets.  Two made from silver that were used for the calling of the assembly and for the journeying of the camps Numbers 10:2 and the Shofar, which is made from a Ram's Horn, was used on the seventh day after the seven priest went around the city of Jericho seven times Joshua 6:4-5.  It is commanded to blow the trumpets in the beginning of the months and over brunt offerings so they may be as a memorial Number 10:10. Psalms 81:1-4 also explains how we are to blow the trumpets in the new moon in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day. The sound of a trumpet could call for an assembly of the congregation, direct the movement of the camps, or announce the beginning of months or appointed feasts, and to alarm the army Number chapter 10:1-10.  YHWH instructed that only the sons of Aaron, the Levitical Priesthood, had the authority to blow these trumpets, Numbers 10:8.

" And I appeared unto ABRAHAM, ISSAC and JACOB, by the name of GOD ALMIGHTY (EL SHADDI) , but by my name YAHOWAH was I not known to them"
